Selection
of a national digital photography and print ad production
vendor
In
1994-95, Safeways Senior VP of Marketing asked us
to manage the selection process of a single vendor to provide
all photography for each of six divisions across the country.
This included:
- Preparing
the Request for Proposal
- Hosting
the presentations to Safeway
- Analyzing
capabilities and cost proposals
- Presenting
management with spreadsheet comparisons of each of 12 prospective
vendors
The
selected vendor continues to provide this service for Safeway
today.
Subsequently,
we assisted in the larger endeavor of selecting a single,
national print ad production vendor, which would consolidate
the advertising departments of the six regional offices into
a corporate function. Again, the selected vendor still provides
these services to Safeway.
