Kathleen
specializes in designing and facilitating highly participatory
planning processes that help organizations strengthen their
ability to function productively, in teams or work groups,
and make the most of their changes. Her work encompasses
the application of and training in consensus-driven facilitation
methods, managing change and leadership models. She also
offers sustainable corporate and personal strategic planning,
communication and team effectiveness solutions.
Her
professional career began in the human services arena in
1972 where she has held positions such as manager, public
relations professional, and development director. Twelve
of her early career years were spent providing and/or supporting
services to families with special needs children and adults.
Since 1989 her work has involved facilitating practical,
results-oriented group processes that respond to and address
the increasing need across most industries for specific,
measurable outcomes and wide-spread ownership of team plans.
Her areas of experience are in restructuring initiatives
within health care, social services, education, manufacturing,
technology, and finance.

Kathleen
has a B.A. in Sociology from Nazareth College of Rochester,
New York and has more than twenty-five years of management
experience. She is a charter member of the Arizona Organization
Development Network, and is an active member of the Institute
of Cultural Affairs’ Technology
of Participation Trainers’ Network
and of the International Association of Facilitators.
She
is certified to conduct the “Managing Change” program
developed by ChangeWorks Solutions Inc., to administer
the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and is a mentor trainer
of the Institute of Cultural Affairs’ “Group
Facilitation Methods” course. She uses an array
of facilitation approaches, such as Open Space Technology,
and has also served as a trainer of new recruits for
AmeriCorps’ Volunteers
in Service to America (VISTA) Program.
Using
approaches that encompass both productivity goals and an
appreciation for human dynamics, Kathleen brings a rare enthusiasm
and clarity to her work with clients. |
